so, is there a world tree being planted in the firelands? it looks like that from one of the new wow gold that just came out. if it really is a world tree how will that effect the actual world since the firelands are part of the elemental plains?
I doubt that's a world tree. More likely just a druidic base. It may be a special tree to help channel the Dream inside the Firelands but I doubt it's much more than that. Heck it could just be a symbol of defiance against Ragnaros. Seems like a pretty big middle finger to me.
That said, I am interested in the fact that Fandral can turn into a scorpion. You don't normally associate druids NOR fire with scorpions- but then I realized that his cat form is basically a flaming lion, so perhaps him turning into a scorpion has something to do with the guild mounts?
I am very interested in the plotline of the "druids of the flame" that Fandral is leading, though.
just watched it and imo it would be more impressive if we actually had a purpose for going there other than "Oh no! the fire elementals are invading! We have to go kill them before they kill us!" Besides from a lore based perspective, it really takes the fun of going into these realms if we aren't even sure if going there will make the world a safer place, because it seems like going there and overthrowing Ragnaros is only going to cause more problems.
Well when the titans initially came to azeroth, instead of killing Ragnaros and the other elemental lords, instead they locked them away into their own specific realms apart from azeroth. Now, the elemental lords have opened the gateway into azeroth and the defenders of azeroth want to kill Ragnaros to prevent him from further damaging the world. But the thing is is that the elemental realms are connected to azeroth and is essentially a part of their ecosystems. Fire is an essential part of azeroth and all fire is made up of fire elementals, and killing their leader (despite how evil he might) would cause the lesser elementals to go into disarray and would damage the world more. imo to prevent this horrible disaster from occurring, the defenders of azeroth should just close the portal into the firelands, because if no one can get through to each others land then eventually Ragnaros would eventually call off the war
